Overview
The Srimad-Bhagavatam is an epic philosophical and literary classic, and holds a prominent position in India's voluminous written wisdom. After compiling the Vedas, Srila Vyasadeva was inspired to present their profound essence in the form of Srimad-Bhagavatam. Known as “the ripened fruit of the tree of Vedic literature, Srimad-Bhagavatam is the most complete and authoritative exposition of Vedic knowledge – covering everything from the nature of the self to the origin of the universe, and is an epic biography of Krishna, His avatars and His many devotees throughout the history of the universe.
After writing it Vyasadeva taught it to his son Sukadeva Goswami, who later spoke it to King Pariksit in an assembly of sages.
The translation of Srimad-Bhagavatam is one of Srila Prabhupada’s greatest gifts to the world. Srimad Bhagavatam Overview is a 10 week course which will cover the first half of Srimad-Bhagavatam (Cantos 1-6), allowing you to learn about each pastime and how it powerfully relates to your daily life. If you are looking to develop a greater understanding of Krishna Consciousness through the valuable and timeless life lessons shared in the Srimad Bhagavatam’s first six cantos, then this course is for you.

If you cannot make every session in person, we will record each session and send you the slides on a weekly basis, for you to catch up at your own time.
