COURSES

OVERVIEW

Our courses are based on the Bhagavad-gita, spoken 5,000 years ago in the holy place in North India. The Gita is universally renowned as the crown jewel of India’s spiritual wisdom. Though ancient, the Gita remains a timeless voice of authority, wisdom and relevant for all people. It has inspired and been revered by some of the greatest minds:

Henry David Thoreau

"In the morning I bathe my intellect in the stupendous and cosmogonalphilosophy of the Bhagavad-Gita, in comparison with which our modern world and its literature seems puny and trivial."

Mahatma Gandhi

"The Bhagavad-Gita calls on humanity to dedicate body, mind, and soul to pure duty and not to become mental voluptuaries at the mercy of random desires and undisciplined impulses."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

"The Bhagavad-Gita is an empire of thought and in its philosophical teachings Krishna has all the attributes of the full-fledged monotheistic deity and at the same time the attributes of the Upanisadic absolute."

Herman Hesse

"The marvel of the Bhagavad-Gita is its truly beautiful revelation of life's wisdom which enables philosophy to blossom into religion."

EXPLORE

Explore is our foundational course on the  Bhagavad-gita. Whether you’re a seeker or have found your spiritual path, Explore will enlighten your worldview with a philosophical framework. With it’s five-subject insight on the Gita, the course will offer perspective and clarity for life, whatever your vocation, profession or ambition.

Life if full of the intrigue of big questions. Who are we? Why are we here? Why do bad things happen to good people? What happens after death? Our fast paced, monotony of materialistic life leaves little time to fathom our deeper thoughts what to speak of seeking answers. Explore invites you to invest in 4 sessions and take a glimpse into the conversation between Sri Krishna and His intimate and perplexed friend, Arjuna. Based on a moral dilemma, the conversation carries us through the pages of the 700 verses as Krishna addresses Arjuna’s inner attitude to the challenges of life with insights on the self, the notion of work, the influences of this world, the impact of time and the presence of the divine.

Bring you curiosity, your queries and your questions to our Explore course. With dynamic presentations and opportunities for discussion and reflection, these four sessions will prepare you to find meaning in your own dilemmas of life.

BHAKTI LIFE

Bhakti Life is our third stage Bhagavad Gita course and is open to individuals who have completed the Gita Life course.

In Bhakti Life you will learn how to incorporate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita into your lives through the practice of bhakti yoga as recommended in the text. Bhakti yoga is not an armchair philosophy, a religious doctrine or a Sunday ritual. It is a way of life. While the process may appear simplistic, when practiced with sincerity and purity it actually combines and synthesizes all other yoga disciplines making this the topmost yoga system as revealed in the ancient scriptures.

The practice of each aspect of bhakti yoga is unlimited, and it can be developed, enhanced and refined over time. Engaging in these practical acts of bhakti yoga will awaken a deep sense of fulfillment, happiness and enduring satisfaction.

This course provides an opportunity to learn more about the practice of bhakti, in today’s modern world.
