Basics of Ayurveda
Ayurveda, which translates as the knowledge of life, is the world's oldest medical system and remains one of India's traditional healthcare systems. It relies on a natural and holistic approach to physical and mental health and aims to bring the imbalances in an individual into harmony with nature.
Book a place on this seminar and learn about the basics of Ayurveda. The seminar will cover:
* What is Ayurveda?
* The importance of following the right diet and lifestyle for you.
*The 3 types of doshas in the body.
*Your constitution (prakriti) and current state (vikruti).
* Define disease and the journey of an illness from start to finish.
The seminar will be facilitated by Priya Sundari, who has always had an interest in Ayurveda, and she is currently training under the guidance of Dr Jayakrishna. Ayurveda continues to be the lens through which Priya relates with food and different personalities.
On a personal level, she has been able to successfully manage hypothyroidism, migraines and postpartum health issues all through the principles of Ayurveda. She continues to use those principles at home to help strengthen her family's immunity by understanding their body types and nature.
